Landscape Photography - The "Ugly" Project

May 30, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

One of my passions without a doubt is Landscape Photography. There is something about bringing out the beauty that exists in nature and contrasting humanities impact upon it that drives most of my artistic work. For me the image has to mean something, there has to be a purpose to it and it must convey a message. Otherwise why bother?

I am currently wrapping up my "ugly" project. Over the past month I set out to photograph scenics that could be easily be considered ugly by most people. I think this project shares a lesson in life, it is never what you are looking at but rather how you are looking at it. Well, that is easily enough philosophy for this post. Below is just a small sampling of the images.
